| Cindy White, Founder |
Cindy White founded the GBSH ten years ago. As a public school teacher with her Masters Degree for over 13 years, she realized that children needed and deserved more. She was determined to open a school where children were treated with love, respect and kindness. They would be taught to believe in themselves, they would be encouraged and challenged at each individual level.
In the fall of 1995, she opened the doors with 35 eager students, pre-school through third grade, including two of her own children. By January 1996, she had over 100 students in attendance. In August of that year, she expanded the school to children through eighth grade with over 150 students. It was clear that her philosophy and high academic standards were something that the community valued and trusted.
In August of 1996, she opened another campus, Sunset Christian School. Sunset also was home to students pre-school through eighth grade. Sunset was taught with the same philosophy and used the Bible as a form of literature. Both schools thrived and grew through the year 2000. In the fall of that year, Sunset became Sierra Christian Academy. The new campus was big enough to house the Sunset students as well as the elementary students from the GBSH. Over the next 5 years, Sierra Christian Academy and High School grew to over 600 students, pre-school through twelfth grade. In 2005, Cindy White proudly announced her son as he graduated from the Sierra Christian Academy High School.
The GBSH continues to be in its original location with students, pre-school through kindergarten. Cindy White's philosophy continues to provide a successful and loving learning environment at both campuses.
