CURRICULUM
Our curriculum is literature based and incorporates phonics in all stages of writing. All math activities are hands-on and children learn through building and exploring. Our students are involved in a project-based style of learning. Every child is viewed as an individual and is provided curriculum that is developmentally appropriate for his/her development.
Each teacher plans thematic units every week, gearing the activities to the stage of development required by each child.
PRESCHOOL (Ages 2.5 - 4)
Our constructive and active Preschool program is the perfect environment for your Preschooler. Each day begins with music, calendar, poetry, counting and each day closes with personal compliments. During our day we discover math with manipulatives, reading through phonics and literature-based projects.
KINDERGARTEN (Ages 4 - 5)
The GBSH offers a full-day Kindergarten program. Our program challenges children at their level, introducing and exposing them to math, reading, integrated phonics, and process writing. Teacher directed groups and self-directed projects positively guide the children. Music, poetry, science, social studies, and Spanish are integrated into their daily routine.

GBSH offers two programs: a ten month (August - June) and a twelve month program. For our ten month program, full tuition is due August 1st and a final tuition payment is due on May 1st. For our year-round program, tuition is due by the first of each month. Tuition is considered delinquent the 5th of each month, at which time a $50 late fee will be applied to your account. Payment of your tuition guarantees placement for your child and is continuous throughout the year. There is no reduction in tuition for absences, illness or holidays. Full-time students are entitled to one week of vacation per year. A $20 sibling discount will be applied to your monthly tuition for each additional child in the family. Registration fees are non-refundable and provide supplies, materials, accident insurance and other incidental expenses. The registration fee is assessed annually. In the event that the GBSH raises its tuition rates, you will receive written notification and a thirty-day transition period. If for any reason you choose to terminate your contract with the GBSH, we require a thirty-day written notice.
UNIFORM
Children are required to wear uniforms. The GBSH uniform includes a white collared shirt and navy blue bottoms. Children may wear shorts, pants, skirts or rompers. A white collared shirt must be worn under any romper. Children may not wear sweat pants or blue jeans. Every Friday has been designated as free dress days.
